Quand ils passent ("As They Pass") is a 12-minute short film starring Pierre Richard, a legendary figure in French cinema, known for iconic roles.
The story: a woman receives a call from her father. Nothing unusual… except he died two years ago.
Through this absurd, tender, and unsettling conversation, the film explores the invisible bond we maintain with our dead and with those who refuse to disappear.
I wanted a strange film, balancing minimalist fantasy and existential drama, that invites reflection.
We used generative AI to visualize Lise’s memories, not as a gimmick, but as a poetic tool serving the narrative.
