Butcher's Knife (Gurda)

A young girl finds herself confined in an isolated house on the outskirts of Maharashtra, surrounded by an endless farm, where there is an eerie calm, as if something is being held back. An older woman tends to her with unsettling warmth whilst carrying on with her daily routines as if nothing is out of place. Between shared meals and lingering tensions, the gap between what is seen and what is understood begins to widen.
