Moral Dirt

Jonas, a young man angling for responsibility in his uncle's criminal organization, is sent on what he believes is a straightforward job: help bury a body. His guide/mentor is Mick, a seasoned enforcer who has survived by doing the hard things that no one brags about.  Walking through a mountain forest, shovel in hand, Jonas draws Mick into a philosophical debate about terrorism, innocence, and what separates a criminal from a freedom fighter. Mick has an answer for everything. And when they reach the grave… the body moves.  What Jonas thought was a disposal job turns into an execution. And Mick has no intention of pulling the trigger.  Shot in 2.20:1 widescreen with echoes of Sergio Leone, MORAL DIRT uses the cloak of a mob film to explore how a Regular Joe gets enmeshed in violence, and how the loyalty we inherit can cost us our soul.
